Formed when vocalist Daniel Jordan answered Derek Kinsella's (Bass) add for a singer in Dublin Ireland, Kopek have spent the last number of years touring the world and garnering massive praise for their debut album White Collar lies (2010). The album is a confident display of their song writing talent and takes the listener on a journey through many different musical styles and colours. From the bluesy rock of  lead single "Cocaine Chestpains" to the pulsating groove of "Love is Dead", Kopek display a  raw power and a musical competency that has seen them impress on the airwaves and on the live circuit in both Europe and America. 

Their debut single "Cocaine Chestpains" peaked at number 25 on  Active Rock Radio in America and number 10 on Active Rock Radio in Canada. This radio success allowed the band to embark on an extensive tour of North America where they played support to such bands as Papa Roach, Hinder and Buck Cherry to name but a few. Their increasing reputation as a formidable live act, coupled with their success at radio, saw them play a number of  headline shows along the way.

Following this success, White Collar lies was re-released in Germany. The band returned home and went on tour in  Europe with Royal Republic and H-Blockx. This culminated in their own headline tour around Germany. This did not go unnoticed. After Campino, from Die Toten Hosen, championed their track "Love is Dead", Kopek were invited to join the band on a support tour around Germany and Austria which saw them garner huge acclaim for their live show. During this tour Kopek road tested some new material to a fantastic response. This served to increase the excitement for the arrival of their second studio offering.

After this extensive touring a trip back into the studio was long overdue. As well as being a fantastic live band Kopek are also an incredibly creative force. The experiences of the road and their observation of the world left the band with an abundance of inspiration for a new record. They returned to the studio in June 2013 to begin recording their second album. A couple of the tracks were passed out to industry insiders which resulted in Kopek securing a  global major label deal with BMG Rights Management. The rest of the record was completed over the following months and is now scheduled for worldwide release on November 7th 2014.

The new record is another fantastic display of Kopek's natural ability to create powerful anthemic choruses and earth shaking grooves. The lead single "Revolution" is a beastly riffing animal which really showcases the bands prowess as a live act and their ability to keep coming up with killer hooks and compelling topics to write about. "The Watersong" is another beautifully written song laden with hooks and an honesty which grabs the listener from the opening guitar riff. "Drown" a song about self-medication and drinking to excess will really strike a chord with the listener in today's hectic work hard play hard society. "Changeling", with its incredibly hooky intro, provides a raw and honest account of relationships in modern times and offers a well needed respite from the soppy and formulaic love songs of today. The album consists of ten expertly crafted tracks which display the power of a live Kopek show while still allowing  for the melodic and powerful song writing to shine through.

Now ready, with their eagerly anticipated second album entitled "Rise", Kopek intend to revisit their thousands of fans and also, with the added infrastructure of a major label, reach a wider audience with their powerful style of rock music. The people have been waiting and there is no doubt that Kopek are about to deliver.

Gegründet wurde KOPEK, als Daniel Jordan sich auf eine Anzeige von Derek Kinsella (Bass) meldete, der einen Sänger zur Gründung einer Rock-Band in Dublin suchte. KOPEK haben die letzten Jahre damit verbracht, die Welt zur bereisen, eine Folge des massivem Lobes für ihr Debüt-Album `White Collar Lies` (2010). Das Album zeigte das unglaubliche Songwriting Talent der Band und nimmt den Hörer mit auf eine Reise durch viele verschiedene Musikrichtungen und Klangfarben. Von dem bluesigen Rock der Lead-Single "Cocaine Chestpains", bis hin zum pulsierenden Groove von "Love is Dead“. Kopek zeigen eine unbändige Kraft und eine musikalische Kompetenz, die Ihresgleichen sucht und im Radio, als auch live, in USA und Europa gleichermassen beeindrucken konnte.

Ihre Debüt-Single "Cocaine Chestpains" erreichte Platz 25 der Active Rock Radio Charts in Amerika und sogar Platz 10 auf Aktive Rock Radio Charts in Kanada. Dieser Airplay Erfolg war die Grundlage dafür, das die Band bei ausgedehnten Touren durch Nordamerika als Support von Bands wie PAPA ROACH, HINDER und BUCK CHERRY unterwegs waren. Ihr zunehmend besser werdender Ruf als formidable Live-Band, gepaart mit ihrem Erfolg beim Radio, brachte ihnen dort auch einige Healdliner Shows. 

Nach diesem Erfolg wurde `White Collar Lies` auch in Europa veröffentlicht. Die Band kehrte nach Hause zurück und ging in Europa auf Tour mit ROYAL REPUBLIC und in Deutschland zusätzlich mit den H-BLOCKX. Ihre Live-Qualöitäten gipfelten in ihrer ersten eigenen Headliner-Tour durch Deutschland. Dies blieb nicht unbemerkt! Nachdem Campino von den TOTEN HOSEN "Love is Dead“ zufällig im Radio gehört hatte, wurden Kopek von ihm höchstpersönlich eingeladen, die TOTEN HOSEN auf einer Support-Tour durch Deutschland und Österreich zu begleiten. Dabei ernteten sie ebenfalls eine riesige Anerkennung für ihre Live-Show. Während dieser Tour testeten KOPEK auch neue Songs und die Reaktionen darauf waren fantastisch. Dies diente auch dazu, die Spannung auf ihr zweites Studioalbum zu erhöhen. 

Nach diesem umfangreichen Touren, drängte es die Band zurück ins Studio. Abgesehen davon, dass Kopek eine fantastische Live-Band sind, haben sie auch eine unglaublich kreative Kraft. Die Erfahrungen `on the road` und ihre Beobachtung der Welt, gab der Band eine Fülle von Inspiration für ein neues Album. Sie kehrten im Juni 2013 in das Studio zurück, um ihr zweites Album zu beginnen. Ein paar der Tracks wurden einigen Musik-Branchenkennern vorgestellt, was prompt zu einem weltweiten  Major-Label-Deal mit BMG Rights Management führte. Der Rest der Platte wurde in den folgenden Monaten fertiggestellt und soll weltweit am 7. November 2014 das Licht der Welt erblicken. 

Das neue Album RISE ist ein weiterer fantastischer Beweis für Kopek`s natürliche Fähigkeit, leistungsstarke, hymnische Refrains zu schreiben, die die Erde erzittern lassen. Die erste Singleveröffentlichung "Revolution“ ist unbändig roh und mit einem animalischen Riffing versehen. „The Watersong" ist ein weiterer Song, wunderschön geschrieben, beladen mit Hooks und einer Authenzität, die den Hörer von dem ersten Gitarrenriff an packt. „Drown", ein Lied über Medikamentenmissbrauch und Alkoholprobleme, trifft wirklich den Nerv der Zuhörer in der heutigen hektischen, harten Arbeitsgesellschaft. "Changeling", mit seinem unglaublich eingängigen Intro, eine rohe und ehrliche Darstellung von Beziehungen in der heutigen Zeit, ist eine echte Erholung von der Masse der meisten schnulzig-platten Liebeslieder. Das Album besteht aus zehn meisterhaft komponierten Tracks, in denen Kopek eindrucksvoll ihr Live-Power einfliessen lassen und die vor Kraft und unwiderstehlichen Melodien nur so strotzen.

RISE, das mit Spannung erwartete Zweitwerk der Iren präsentiert sich dem Hörer als kraftvolles Rockalbum, was keine Wünsche offen lässt. Kopek liefert hier das Album ab, auf das alle gewartet haben - gepaart mit der Infrastruktur eines Major-Labels befindet sich die Band auf direktem Weg zu einem breiteren Publikum.
